Takatsuki High School’s visit to CPH

CPH has been in collaboration with Kyoto University in recent years. Introduced by Prof. Masahiro Kihara of Kyoto University, a team from Takatsuki High School, Osaka Japan, including students and faculty first visited CPH in 2015 and they had just paid their fourth visit in February 2019.

Associate Prof. Kun-Hsien Tsai welcomed the visitors from Takatsuki High School with the introduction of CPH featured research areas and then gave a lecture of “Global Health and Vector-borne Infectious Disease”. Later, 3 groups of Takatsuki high school students presented their independent studies of the following topics:

 

• Discrimination Spread by AIDS

• Smart Education for Children in Benin

• The Dark Side of Fast Fashion

Prof. Chang-Fu Wu and Associate Prof. Kun-Hsien Tsai made some comments after their presentation. They were impressed by the English fluency of those Japanese high school students.

After the presentation session, a tour to the NTU Museum of Medical Humanities was arranged for the group to learn more about the history of the medical development in Taiwan and the medical research collaborations between Taiwan and Japan.
