The National Taiwan University College of Public Health Vice Dean Handover and Director Proclamation Ceremony has been held at noon in the global hall, August 1st. New vice dean and director of the public health department is Professor Ya-Wen Cheng. The new program of "Master of Global Health " is hold of a new director as Professor Hsien-Ho Lin. Former "Institute of Environmental Health" and "Institute of Occupational Medicine and Industrial Hygiene" were combined and renamed as "Institute of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences," in which the director is Professor Chang-Fu Wu.

After Professor Chang-Fu Wu relieved of his duties as the vice dean and the director of the public health department, he soon took over the title of the director of the Institute of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences. He indicated that the faculty would be about 16-17 people after the two institutes combined –it's quite sizable in National Taiwan University, and it's also not too small internationally. Professor Wu is looking forward to letting the reputation of the Institute of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences to be heard. Professor Shih-Wei Tsai, former director of the Institute of Environmental Health, has given a speech, saying that Institute of Environmental Health and Institute of Occupational Medicine and Industry Hygiene comes from the same root, it is destiny for the two to be one, and he hopes the new director can continue the excellent cooperation history between the two institutes. Professor Ya-Wen Cheng, the new vice dean and the director of the public health department, believes that the public health department is the central part of the college of public health. She will work closely with the administration faculties and expect that the undergraduate students can keep their passion continuously, and have better development in the public health field. 

Professor Chang-Chuan Chan, the dean of the college of public health, appreciate everyone for coming to this grand but straightforward ceremony. PM2.5 level is low these days. The clear blue sky today symbolizes the new age of this college. First, he thanked all the supervisors’ contribution to the college. The college has successfully gained six quotas of the faculty of the Master of Global Health Program, and it’s not easy. All these achievements are from everybody in the college’s efforts.
