In April 2020, the president of the student association of public health, Ruen Yi Chen, and the president of the student association of medicine founded Fight COVID Taiwan and dedicated to establishing the English-language website with members from the School of Medicine, Department of Public Health and more.
The team assisted the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control in translating almost 40 instructions of COVID-19. Besides, they wrote 10 specific articles to arouse the concerns of COVID-19. All the documents on the website were examined by the professors of the College of Public Health, National Taiwan University. They also organized a campaign of Ask Taiwan Anything to help the whole world know better about the experience of Taiwan. EE Times, Philippine Daily Inquirer and Jeremy Hunt, the former UK Secretary of State for Health, all used information provided by the team. Fight COVID Taiwan wielded student’s influence internationally and was awarded by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
